The IEA Energy Storage TCP and the IEA Solar Heating and Cooling TCP invite industry representatives and other stakeholders to a workshop on materials and components for thermal energy storage.

Experts from ES TCP Task 47 / SHC Task 74 and ES TCP Task 48 / SHC Task 75 will present current activities related to sensible heat storage, phase change materials, thermochemical storage and storage components.

The workshop will focus on an open exchange between industry and research. Participants are invited to discuss technical challenges, research needs and priorities for improving the performance, reliability and market uptake of thermal energy storage technologies.

The event will take place in Freiburg in connection with the EuroSun 2026 Conference.
